So I've been a little MIA. I could go on with the excuses but I shall leave it at that I've been seriously swamped with my third and final year of study.
I have a few exciting projects and images to share with you, which I shall reveal in another post. I've had another fashion column and article published in a magazine I write for and I'm on the committee for the Townsville Fashion Festival debuting on October 25th-27th, 2012. I will be producing a collection for this, so busy times are ahead.
On another topic I'm also doing work experience with the amazing Katelyn Aslett a local designer and artist who is internationally successful and sells her beautiful garments worldwide. Check her out amazing work here.
By becoming involved with the Fashion Festival and working with Katelyn allows me to be completely immersed in a genre I love.
On other news, the creation of my very own production/sewing studio is well on its way, with the walls just needing to be finished and an aircon installed ect ect. Then begins the glorious task of decorating it into a unique inspirational space. I've been perusing through imagery of sewing rooms and here are a few of my favourites...

The wooden boxes are a brilliant storage and decor idea. |
|
Clipboards with inspirational quotes. |
|
Bright colours and space efficient shelves. |
|
I love the idea of a desk in the middle of the room, ideal for pattern making as well as an extra storage space. |
|
I need to start organizing all my cottons like this, I can never find the colour I need. |
|
Mood boards filled with beautiful imagery will cover the walls of my new space.

I bought a tripod today, so I can finally do outfit posts again! It's too hard to organize another person to capture them at the moment, so self timer and I will become great friends ;)
Check back in soon friends,
