Smock Dress - Available for Purchase!

Hello lovelies,

I am sitting here in my very own sewing/production room dreaming of new designs and being inspired by my surroundings. Today I didn't have university or work so I decided to make a comfortable Smock dress/day dress that is perfect for summer! It is made from recycled fabric with lace detailing around the collar. This dress has no revealing back and is quite demure and suited for those who don't want to show a lot of skin!

Will fit about a 10-12, and 8 if you like to wear your clothes loose ( I know I sure do!!)

This will be dropped off to the Cereal Box sometime this week and will be available for purchase! Further details will be posted in a few days, if you would like to buy it, head down to the Cereal Box by the end of the week :)

Cereal Box Launch Night!

So Friday night was a wonderful success! Stressing about it all week, certainly added to the buzz and nervousness I felt as soon as Friday afternoon hit. As 6:30 passed, the doors were open to the public and people begun to fill the gallery. And boy, did they ever!! The gallery was full to the brim with a variety of people that came down to support the local event. It was fantastic to see that the Cereal Box has such a following, that people are interested in supporting the art and cultural scene they are trying to bring to Townsville. I guess that is why the Cereal Box appeals to so many people, because it is unique and brings a different feel to the CBD.

As the night progressed, a few of my garments were being sold, which was pretty exciting to see! I was approaching people handing out the URL of my blog and hopefully people will log onto it to check it out :)

At the end of the night I had sold 4 out of 9 rings, and 5 out of the 6 garments I had for sale, but yesterday I sold the last garment!!

So I will definitely have to get sewing and sewing..which will be much easier now my mum has set up an entire sewing room just for me :)

PORTFOLIO!

So after many days of hardcore editing, my wonderful photographer Frances Fitzsimmons has completed the portfolio of photographs. Here is the finished product! I can't tell you how excited I am for this launch on Friday night!!!!! Dreams are on their way!

Photographer: Frances Fitzsimmons
Stylist & Clothes Designer: Tania Clarke
Model: Jessica Feaver

Here is a description/design aesthetic of my clothing designs:
I introduce you to “tmc designs.” A label started by a girl with a passion for handcrafted garments and unique designs. tmc designs bring a fresh girly taste of fashion with inspiration drawn from the 40s and 50s eras expressing femininity and elegance. Bold colours, vintage florals, silky fabrics and lace detailing create the aestheticic of tmc designs. These easy to wear garments focus on the femininity of a woman’s back with most designed to have the back exposed in creative ways through thin straps crisscrossing, thus drawing attention to it. Tania dedicates hours of patience and handi-work to create these unique pieces of art.

If tmc designs were a girl, she would be fearless and bold with her choices as well as strikingly elegant. The kind of girl that is determined and knows exactly what she wants whilst looking like she’s stepped out of the pages of a fashion editorial.
