Pink Panther

To say the least an outfit post is long overdue. I've almost forgotten how to do one!? I'm too busy creating the clothes to actually make style posts of me wearing some.

One thing I've noticed is that my style changes every few months, when I am influenced by things I come across and the magazines I read.

Shop til you Drop is a religious read of mine, as is Frankie and Peppermint, Cosmopolitan and Cleo. I've never had a real interest in reading magazines such as Vogue, because well I find designer clothing a tad boring. I like real girls' style. Style that is attainable and affordable. I'm not inspired by something that costs $30584095803854 dollars. A slight exaggeration, but my point was made.

I guess you could say the same thing about journalism, in relation to people that use intellectual words that you're forced to pull out the dictionary to gain a slight understanding. Simple language will always reign in journalism as far as I'm concerned.

I've come across a few blogs that try to sound as intelligent and intellectual as possible, so much in fact that the writing isn't fluent and jumps all over the place just to dance around the big words. This very reason is why I like to keep my blog posts simple and fluent so that readers can readily engage in what I have to say, without feeling like I'm talking at you.

Without further adieu, here is my outfit post. My inspiration for this outfit came from drooling over the Isabel Marrant Spring 2011 Collection. Simple and chilled was the vibe I was going for, which is the same vibe Isabel Marrant was inspired by.
