Brocade handmade skirt

After digging through my mother's jam packed craft cabinet I came across this beautiful brocade style fabric. I pondered on whether I would make it into a skirt or not as the material is quite heavy and I didn't think it would sit too nicely. It was actually material used for making curtains. However, I attempted it anyway and was rather pleased with how it turned out. 

It's actually the same fabric used to cover my diary in the post below :D
